It’s been just a while that Xiaomi has Launched it’s budget offering Xiaomi Redmi 4A and since launch it’s been selling like hot cakes and there are legal reasons for that but Xiaomi was not done with that so today at an event in Delhi Xiaomi has Launched the Brand New Xiaomi Redmi 4 which is the bigger brother of the Redmi 4A so this is all you need to know about the Xiaomi Redmi 4.
Be Sure to read till the end for better understanding.!
Disclaimer : This Indian variant is not the same as the Chinese Variant so please don’t try to compare it with the same.
Starting off the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with all metal Unibody construction which similar to the already available Redmi Note 4 but the are some minor exceptions which is the camera placement on the back is similar to the Redmi 3s Prime and also the fingerprint scanner is also similarly placed to the Redmi 3s prime also the screen size is same as the Redmi 3s prime I.e., 5″ other than that there are some minor upgrades over it’s predecessor starting off the SoC under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octacore SoC which is clocked upto 1.4GHz (Cortex A53 cores) compared to 430 of it’s predecessor, there are 3 variants of the device available starting from 2GB+16GB to 4GB+64GB with 3GB+32GB variant sitting in the middle so this time we also see higher RAM and storage configurations available which is a good thing and will probably lure those who Hunt for storage a lot.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with 5-inch HD IPS display with 294PPI is now covered by 2.5D curved glass which is great but still Xiaomi hasn’t mentioned any type of protection such as Corning’s Gorilla Glass or Asahi’s Dragontrail glass, on the camera front we have a 13MP f2.0 lens on the back with single LED flash and PDAF with 1080p video support and on the front we have 5MP f2.0 shooter which can shoot 720p videos and this combo is said to be an improved one over the Chinese variant of the device on the software front the Redmi 4 runs on the now older Android 6.0 marshmallow with Xiaomi’s MIUI 8 on top one good thing though is that Xiaomi has promised the Nougat update soon! Finally the USP of the device (which ironically is the USP of most of the MI devices) is it’s battery so the Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with a mammoth 4100mAh non-removable battery and Xiaomi promises 2 day of battery on heavy use and 19 days on standby which is great one thing worth mentioning is that all the variants come with Fingerprint scanner unlike it’s predecessor which has Fingerprint scanner only on the prime variant.
Finally the pricing so the Xiaomi Redmi 4 starts at 6999/-INR for the 2GB+16GB variant and 8999/-INR for the 3GB+32GB variant and (New) 4GB+64GB variant is priced at 10999/-INR and will be available from 23rd of May from mi.com aswell as Amazon.in and registration for the same have already begun and to be honest the pricing feels excellent considering competitors like Vivo offers a 3 year old Mediatek SoC at 19000/-INR, so the pricing is aggressive and we wouldn’t be surprised if this device becomes one of the top sellers of 2017, so there you have it a quick look at the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi 4, do you agree with what we say if not what is that you don’t agree with do let us know your thoughts in the Comments section below and help us out with some sharing on your favorite Social Networks.
