For some reason, there is this weird notion about using iTunes. People automatically assume that it is difficult to use even before giving it a shot. Once you get used to it, you’ll know it is one of the most convenient media players out there that actually organizes your files. But having said that, iTunes is also one of the most annoying ways to transfer music to your iPhone.
Local media players: Local media players like VLC don’t write the data to the core iOS library. It stores all the files in the app store. Transfers can be done by drag and drop using the web browser and Wi-Fi, or cloud storage. You can also use AirDrop to send files to your phone and choose the app you want to use to play the file later.
