During CES 15 back in January, Asus introduced the new smartphone which is affordable called Zenfone 2. There are actually three variants of the device that share the Zenfone 2 name, with the version in this review featurimng 5.5 inch 1080p display and 4 GB of RAM.
The Asus Zenfone 2 comes with a large 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080p resolution, Pixel density of 403 ppi. Quad HD may be currently trendind in the world.
The display experice is great providing everything from high-end panel. The screen is sharp, bright, esily to see in daylight and offering fantastic viewing angles. The size 5.5 inch is good for media consumption and the reading mode that is gentler on the eyes, a vivid mode that drastically increases the saturation, and finally a manual mode for more granular controls over the display settings on your device.
Asus phone comes with hard plastic chassis that will be available in multiple colours in US, includind red and sliver. It comes with 5.5-inch (139.7mm) Full HD Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen. At only six inches long (152.5mm) the Zenfone 2 shouldn’t weigh as much as it does, but you’ll hardly notice a difference when compared to the HTC One M8 and iPhone.
The silver bezel features a shiny matte finish along the back of the phone and along the bottom edge of the front. The front upper and side pannels are built with shiny black plastic that is reminscent of older iPhones and the bottom front of the Phone.
The Asus Zenfone 2 runs at 3000 mAh battery.Similar to the phones like Oppo Find 7A etc. But the Asus says that – thanks to Intel’s Fast Charging Technology- it can charge from 0-60% in 40 minutes. Which is the fastest charging phone in the world
Asus Zenfone 2 comes with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz, backed by the PowerVR G6430 GPU and it is the first smartphone comes with 4 GB of RAM and the other version comes with 2 GB of RAM and comes with 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z3560 processor, so the performance is depending on you which variant you choose.
The device comes with standard suite of connectivity options, including support for 4G LTE which does work in US. The device also has 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB inbuilt storage is available and also support the microSD card up to 64 GB. The rear speaker is denoted by a very large speaker grill that gives the illusion of the phone packing a powerful speaker. And it run on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop) and now Android 5.1 or whether the problwm is with the Zen UI itself.
The device comes with 13-megapixel of rear camera with autofocus dual LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie camera.
Low light photography wasn’t great lack of OIS, there’s a relatively bright f/2.0 aperture available you could get very good photo shots. Low Night modes production anything much better than the auto mode.
